John Tedesco, CEO of Artistry Woodcraft truly believes that, “If you don’t like what you’re doing, you can always pick up your needle and move to another groove”. That kind of thinking is what prompted John to pack up his Volkswagen Bus in 1972 and chase his high school sweetheart Joan Pomarici-Tedesco from Pennsylvania to Florida (Of whom he has been married to since 1973). Having just turned 18 and recently graduated from the School of Hard Knocks, John was ready to take the finishing world by storm; starting with an apprenticeship with Warren Dill performing furniture touch-ups at Blums of Boca; an exclusive furniture store at the time. While at Blums; he quickly rose in the ranks from touch-up person to Master Finisher. Four years later he opened Tedesco Refinishing in Delray Beach, which would later become Artistry in Finishes. Although he is the master of his craft and a world renowned finisher, his never-ending drive to produce the highest quality product led him to open Artistry Masters of Woodcraft, (Now known as present day Artistry Woodcraft, a Tedesco Family Corporation). You cannot walk through Artistry Woodcraft and not get the sense that everything John does is for his family; his ladies, Joan, Christine, Teresa, and Lily, are his pride and joy. Every professional milestone, every accolade, and every business decision is with them in mind. He instills his family pride into his work, which is why he has culled the most elite clientele from all over the world. John belongs to various business and networking groups and was presented with the Presidents’ Award by The Executives’ Association of the Palm Beaches in 2015 and again in 2019. John lost his father when his was 13. He is the oldest Pandora’s Kids.
